For more than ten years I've been turning the messy, operational side of business into software people can depend on — from a US equipment-rental marketplace to the platforms restaurants use to take orders, run inventory and pay their teams.
My career started at Virtusa, working on test automation, before I joined Incubate Labs in 2015. There I built the backend of Cloud of Goods, a US equipment-rental marketplace, and grew into leading its tech team — owning requirements, product design, architecture and client relationships, and travelling to the United States to train ground staff on-site.
Since 2020 I've been with Delivergate, moving from Senior Software Engineer to Tech Lead, Senior Tech Lead and now Solution Architect. I set technical direction across backend and delivery platforms: the order management system that unifies Uber Eats, Deliveroo and POS, the inventory platform, and Ferry, a tip-distribution product for hospitality.
I'm a Sri Lankan software engineer, splitting my time between Batticaloa and Colombo and working remotely on products used in the UK, the USA and beyond. Most of my work lives where software meets day-to-day operations — POS systems, delivery platforms, payments, payroll and workforce tools. I care about aligning architecture with product and operations, keeping systems simple enough to maintain, and helping the engineers around me raise their delivery standards.
